What does Chittagong Ideal High School (CIHS) expect from our parents?

Chittagong Ideal High School wants to welcome our students and parents to 2021 academic year.

The most important goal is to provide a curriculum that recognizes and expands your child’s interest, strength and ability and the development of children. With a view to achieving this goal we require paying careful attention to the fact that children learn best by being active and curious.

The education of your child can be achieved through a co-operative effort between you and our school. We emphasize this because all educational research shows that the most successful students are those who have parents or guardians (family members) who take an interest in what their children “do” and “know”.

What does Chittagong Ideal High School expect from you as parents?

  • That you send your child to school /online classes every morning clean, healthy, rested, well-dressed, adequately nourished and ready to learn.

  • That you treat school as important. That you are interested in every phase of what your child does and let your child know your interest and concern by listening enthusiastically, lovingly and by participating in our school activities.

  • That you advise your child to show respect and co-operation with our teachers abiding by the basic rules of fair play, safety and personal cleanliness and skills for getting along with others.

  • That your child is ready to learn in our school because you enrich his/her life with suitable experiences in talking, in listening, in reading and by loving him/her.

  • That if a misunderstanding occurs about something concerning your child in our school, you make an honest effort to strengthen matters with the school instead of showing your anger or circulating your criticism to your friends.

  • We are committed to providing safe, supportive and responsive learning environment for every student.We teach and model the proper behavior value in our students.

  • We encourage you to contact our Headmaster-office to arrange a conference with one or all of your child’s teachers. We are in partnership with you and are pleased to help to resolve issues as they arise.

  • Regular attendance is a very important factor in your child’s success at school /online classes. Please encourage him/her to be regular in school /virtual classes on time each day.

  • Children enrolled in our school must arrive at least ten minutes before the designated class time when we had face to face in person classes and now students must enter virtual classes on designated class time.   • Homework is an important part of teaching in Chittagong Ideal High School. It is an extension of the instruction that is provided in the classroom. It is useful to help students learn how to work independently. You can expect homework to be assigned regularly in our academic classes. Please review your child’s learning activities and plan rightly to ensure that he/she is keeping current touch with classwork and home assignments or projects.

Finally, CIHS focuses on:
  • The development of the children as a confident and articulate young people who are able to positively contribute as citizens in the modern world.

  • Developing a high quality curriculum incorporating information technology so that children can undergo challenges and be successful at all ages and developmental levels.

  • Establishing welcoming and inclusive partnerships with parents and the wider community in order for the school to develop as an integral component of the society and the country.
